Yesterday we had dinner and hiked to the spring at Willow Flats. It is so beautiful up there. Everything was so green with lots of wildflowers along the way and at the end we got a icy cold drink of water straight out of the mountain- yum.
So, this is totally the boring part & Matt thinks it's pretty lame to take pictures without people in them, but I just couldn't resist with the pretty wildflowers.

Swimming Lessons
Owen just finished his first swimming class. It was fun to get in the pool a bunch for two weeks. Owen is more comfortable in the water now and learned some cool tricks. Everyday we practiced blowing bubbles, floating on our tummies and moving around, jumping in, going under the water while humming, moving back and forth between people under the water, and floating on our backs. Although it's not his favorite thing- Owen can almost float on his back all by himself now. Matthew was pretty jealous but he got to come on the last day. Thanks to everyone that helped tend Ava so Owen & I could play at the pool.

Note to Self-
Must do better at cleaning up anything off the floor small enough for Ava to grab with her little fingers and put in her mouth. Especially after getting out our craft box, so as to not find a googly eye in Ava's diaper again.

Famous Preston Night Rodeo!
On Friday, we went up to the Famous Preston Night Rodeo. I don't know what's famous about it but it was awesome. On our way up, we stopped to eat at LD's . It is a little old cafe in Richmond. The whole experience of eating there is fun. We decided one of our favorite parts is how squeaky the door is every time a new person comes in- love it. After that we stopped at Becca & Mike's apartment. It was fun to hang out and be at there place. Ava went to sleep and we were off to meet JoAnna and Chad at the rodeo. We had great seats because the 2 rows in front of us were empty and gave us some room. I love the rodeo. Owen seemed to like it too.

Floating the River
Last weekend we enjoyed a trip out to the river to celebrate Michael's big #3 birthday and Becca, Mike, Mikey, Owen & I floated the river. It had been a long time since I'd floated and Owen's first time going very far. He was a little scared at first but liked it. It took me back to growing up out there and we seriously floated the river like everyday after we'd slaved away moving pipe and picking raspberries (just kidding mom) or whatever other chores we had to do. Anyways, it was fun.

So Big-
24th of July!
There's a lot of things that we love about our house but right at the top of my list this time of year is the North Logan Parade we get to watch from our front yard. It was fun to have family come and watch it with us and notice more of the details from the floats- arches, stars, sparkly's, and or any other random nice things we could say as they drove slowly by cause what else are you supposed to say?

Cathrine- it was especially nice to have you with us after a few years of absence :).

Thanks goodness Olivia wore a skirt to the parade- it was very helpful in the gathering of goods.

We also got to watch the North Logan fireworks from our front yard.

Huff Family Reunion
I don't know if I'm just in denial that I'm a grown up or what but it still seems crazy to me that there is enough people in both Matt's family & my family to have family reunions with just our immediate family. It's pretty fun to get together on both sides, family is such a great blessing.
Last weekend we enjoyed the Huff Family Reunion. It was great to see everyone, hang out, eat good food, and just be together.
Owen had a lot of fun playing with his cousins.

Grandpa Huff made a fancy treasure hunt.

At the air conditioned Fun Park the kids had fun playing and the big kids played some serious air hockey.

Ah, what a fun game for little kids to play.

Family pictures- I think the photographer got some stinkin' awesome pictures of our family & families. And the best part is that it really was quit a pleasant experience.

I think I mentioned already but we had lots of food, lot & lots of yummy food.

Ava's Eyes-

4th of July!
We love the 4th of July. We didn't really make plans for the holiday other than to not travel and enjoy some good food and we got to do just that.
Eating fresh garden peas-

Fireworks- Owen is such a night owl so staying up for fireworks didn't even seem to really stretch him. Ava was great too. She just slept in her car seat the whole time. We also are quite happy about the spot we've gone to watch fireworks for the last few years. We have a great shot and it's just crappy enough that no one is around is which makes it really great.

I forgot to bring my camera for the good company & food we enjoyed on the 4th at the Huff house but just know it was good.
