Lily's Blessing Day-

In March we celebrated Lily Kate's blessing day.  My talented Aunt Cathryn sewed her blessing dress that was beautiful and my mom crocheted the cutest little shoes.
It was kind of funny, at church just as I was handing Lily off to Matthew to take her up for her blessing she spit up a lot on her dress and on Matthew's suit.  There was a little pause while we wiped it up real quick.

It was a wonderful day.  We love our sweet baby girl.

Mother's Day-

I am lucky I get to be the mom of these sweethearts-

On Mother's Day Owen didn't want to tell me Happy Mother's Day until he had a card to go with it.  So he wrote this at church and then told me Happy Mother's Day.

I am lucky to have great examples of amazing mothers in my life.   I love this quote from Barbara Thompson  "Serving others is the way we show love for them.  Perhaps love and service are one and the same."

Cortez Trip-

In February we took a road trip to visit my sister in Cortez-
On the way we stopped for dinner in Moab at a fun mexican restaurant.

We went to their awesome indoor pool at their rec center with a big playground thing, lazy river, giant slide and big lap pool.  I so wish our rec center were that awesome!
Cute Lucy girl!
We ate at a fun restaurant that had good food and the best sweet potato fries that I crave often.
Good times with chalk, bubbles, books and playing in the sunshine.  Cora's loved her ribbon bowtie.
Some awesome science experiment fun.

Isaac loves his Aunt JoAnna!
Getting a good nap.
Eating JoAnna's famous granola.
Bubbles in their matching nightgowns.
Pretty Cora with her beautiful hair & her favorite boots.

It was so fun to be together!
Thanks again Jo & Chad!  It was a great trip!

February 2013-

While sick this was Isaac's regular position on the couch.  He watched lots of Signing Time and has surprised us with a few new signs that we had to figure out & learn quick.
This day it he started feeling good enough to play!  It was a big deal.

Playing in the snow-
With Aunt Cat's help we made an awesome little mountain to sled on.  The first run wasn't successful for distance but was hilarious to watch.
Owen & Ava loved coloring our snow with little food coloring in water in a spray bottle.

Lily getting stronger to lift her head up during tummy time.

Cathrine went to Beaver with us for a fun night of skiing.  Owen loved it but Ava was a bigger fan of hanging out in the lodge.
Ava picked our FHE activity and chose painting- good times.
Isaac is good at sharing his toys with Lily.
Cute & nice for me when these two littles nap at the same time.
Valentine's Day- carrying on the tradition of pink pancake hearts but added heart strawberries this year.  They were so easy to cut the top in a V to get the stem out then just slice down.

Kisses.
Loves from Grandma.
Happy Birthday Grandpa!
Lily loves her little tongue.

January-

Isaac loves to hold his baby sister- he doesn't hold her long and signs "all done" when he's finished so then we take her and usually he wants to hold her again. He's cute snuggling her and says hi in a cute baby voice.
Isaac gets to do an awesome gymnastics class that has helped him be more comfortable doing normal kid stuff. Now he can climb up a tilted ladder & walk across a balance beam without freaking out with a little help!

Owen started Jr Jazz and likes it a lot.  In his first game while learning how the game works he was excited and jumped around alot with his arms up.  He also got a kick out of somebody following him around when they were guarding him and made a game of it and just ran around and thought it was so funny.

Poor Isaac wasn't feel the greatest and started not taking naps somedays which is always a little rough-  On this day we were watching a show and insisted that he hold Lily then as soon as he got her he fell asleep with her in his arms.  It was pretty sweet.
When I took Lily he got into his usual sleeping position.

Lily became a good little smiler and loves her big sister!

Lily is growing so good and is a happy little girl.
She sticks her little tongue out most of the time.

Isaac loves frozen blueberries and dumped out the whole bag while I wasn't looking!  He was pretty excited.

For something fun to do in the middle of January we went to Salt Lake.  We went to a car show and stayed in a hotel for a night.
Isaac was up the latest, little turkey and finally fell asleep when Matt held him still for a minute or two.
The kids loved swimming at the hotel pool.

Lily is a great sleeper and treated me to sleeping through the night when she was about 5 weeks old for a little while.  Since she's taken a break but seems to be back on track lately!
To welcome new cousin Mabel we were lucky to have a giant cousin sleepover for a few nights!

Pretty girls after church one Sunday.

Poor little Isaac had a cold that was dragging on and eventually his breathing was making us nervous so we got to do his first breathing treatment that helped a lot.
Although he wasn't out of the woods yet, he felt a lot better the next day.  It was so fun to see our happy Isaac again.
