Summer- Part 2

I was inspired by a friend in California that goes to the beach with her kids every week.  So I had a goal to get to some sort of water to play in often this summer.  Working with what we've got we went to Hyrum Dam one day.  The kids had a great time.
This picture captures well how much Isaac loves his baby sister.
I love her cute little teeth.  She got her first bottom teeth at the end of 4 months.
I love this picture because it was the first time that all 4 of our kids were playing together.  Made me happy.
We had a picnic up Smithfield Canyon.
 Isaac is such a cheeser.
And we played in the creek.

Cute girl looking so big sitting up!
We discovered a park that became one of our favorites this summer and got to enjoy it with cousins!  It was also at this park that Isaac started going down slides all by himself!
Sweet Lorelei was good at smothering...I mean loving & taking care of Lily :).
Isaac was so brave walking across this log over the creek but wanted to be like all the other kids.
One day for something fun to do Owen & Ava painted their own faces and did a pretty awesome job.

We tried another go at camping and didn't get rained out this time. We had a such a fun time together.  I appreciate all the work my mom did for us when we camped as kids so much more :).
 I love those cute legs!
Ava is such a good big sister.

I love the propped on the side pose!
 Eating real food is awesome.
For fhe we rode our bikes to get ice cream.
Grandma & Grandpa met us there.
I get a good arm workout after baths.
 Isaac rocking his Elmo baby.
Owen & Ava are such good friends.  Makes me happy.

4th of July Weekend!

We love the 4th of July!  It's usually low key- hanging out, fireworks & eating good food.
We did some parachutes at the park.

Then rode our bikes to our favorite spot to watch the firework show.

Before the fireworks my mom brought these awesome glowstick wands that were fun.

Ava was excited for this star hairdo.  And later this day "we" aka Matt grilled a feast that we enjoyed with the Huff's that I forgot to take pictures of but I do remember it was delicious.
Then that weekend we got all packed up to camp at the river.  It was a pretty day and we got out there, set up camp, had some dinner and a rainstorm came in.  The rain was unexpected but it was fun hanging out in the shelter while it poured.

Before the rain my mom's tent looked pretty bad but after the rainstorm it was really bad but my mom is such an optimistic person she was still saying how it would work just fine.  Oh mother.
We had fun lighting some fireworks.
It was hard work getting these snakes to go but grandma did it!
Owen lighting a match.  Still a big deal although I don't think we had to talk him into it this time which was very exciting.
After the rain storm the lighting was beautiful!

Nice one Cat :).

And even though I'd gone through all the work to pack up to go camping the forecast was more rain so we hung out till it was late and then headed home to our comfy beds.

Summer- Part 1

We had an awesome summer!  It was so fun to have Owen home from school and I loved that we didn't have to run around so much!
Lily started eating food!  She loves it.  I recently discovered the book "Super Nutrition for Babies" that I love & am learning a lot from.

This summer I tried to have the mindset of doing fun ideas ASAP instead of waiting and planning for the perfect day because I knew that summer would fly by.  Willow Flats was on our summer to do list and we had a free day so we went.  Luckily my friend Molly could come with us cause I love her and she carried Lily up to the spring.

Having fun with a ladybug in the backyard.
Lily has been great napper.  She still wakes up in the night a lot of nights but does pretty good.
The kids have loved this little wagon from Isaac's birthday.
Lily spent a lot of time just hanging out on her side like this.  Pretty cute.
And she practiced her raspberries a lot.  When she did it nice & loud during Sunday School was pretty funny.
We had a fun picnic at Second Dam.
 Swimming with Grandma.
Enjoying a book at the library with Uncle Patrick.
