Oh, the great tradition of cutting down Christmas trees. We went the day after Thanksgiving and there was hardly any snow. It was so cold. Owen was bundled up nice and warm and looked a lot like the little boy off of Christmas Story that couldn't put his arms down. Anyways, we found a really great tree in the first bunch of trees we found. It was a good thing cause it was so cold, Owen missed his nap and wanted to be carried the whole way, I'm 3 weeks from our little girls due date, and Matthew's style isn't one of hiking all over the mountains just to make sure we found the best tree. When we got back to the cars, Owen was a big fan of laying in the snow and eating it. We stopped at the property just long enough to eat some yummy cinnamon rolls and chili so we could get back to our warm cars.
Surprisingly, we got a really pretty tree- which is not always the case. Owen was a good helper putting on the lights. And somehow, I don't know how it happens, but every year it seems we never have enough lights so again this year, we get to buy more but our tree is nice and bright :).
