Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. We started the night off carving a pumpkin. Owen liked it about as much as Matt does. He wouldn't touch the slimy insides but had fun taking the top off and putting the eyes, nose, & mouth back in. The rest of the night was full of candy from trick-or-treating with Batman and later another Lion.

Spikey Hair!

Sometimes it takes some talking into to get Owen into the tub and then of course he doesn't want to get out. Lately, one thing that helps is getting spikey hair. It's in desperate need of a haircut right now so the spikes were pretty great.

Cousins

Owen is such a lucky boy. He has lots of cousins on both sides. Last weekend, he got to play with a bunch of his Huff cousins. Here are some pictures of Owen playing with Henry who was visiting from California & Olivia.

Willow Flats

We've been meaning to get up to Willow Flats before all the leaves fell. We were a little late to see colorful leaves but it was still pretty and Owen loved walking on some snow. What a pretty place. It brought back lots of memories of Sunday drives we often went on as a family, running in the hot hot summer for cross country, camping, when my bike fell on my head after I fell off a bridge while riding my bike, something about a watermelon seed war that turned into a very messy game with my sisters, eating wild strawberries while hiking to the spring, hiking to Bloomington Lake on one of the first dates Matthew & I went on, and of course wading in the icy water until we couldn't feel our legs.

Pumpkin Walk

Oh, the great Pumpkin Walk. Owen liked the pumpkins that lined the walkway and putting his head in the different pictures.

Our Garden

This is really the first year that our garden has worked. We enjoyed tomatoes, beans, green & yellow zucchini, yellow crook neck squash, cucumbers, basil, parsley, and onions. It just amazes me how you plant just little seeds and you end up with such yummy food.

Fall

There is so many great things about Fall- the bright leaves, cooler weather, throwing airplanes, and warm fires to cook tin foil dinners on.

Salt Lake Trip

This last weekend we went to Salt Lake as a family. It was a lot of fun. Owen got to play with Tucker & Truman and watch Cars with Uncle Toph & Aunt Emily Ann while Matt & I went to a play. We also went to Hogle Zoo and got to see most of the animals before it started raining really bad. Owen loved it and was a big fan of all the puddles. We even got to see a white alligator that is on loan from the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans that Matt saw a few times while he was there on his mission. The alligator is one of 10 known in the world with a rare condition called leucism where he doesn't have any pigment cells in his skin. He is really cool looking. What's a vacation without good food so we started the trip off with a yummy lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Brigham City called Ricardo's. We also enjoyed a Grand America Brunch and a yummy dinner at the Market Street Grill. Before we came home, out of the blue, Owen asked if we could go to the mountains to see the leaves so that was the finale to our trip.

Fall

One afternoon, we went up the canyon to see the bright leaves. Owen kept looking for a peacock. So if anyone knows of any wild peacocks we can go see you'll have to let us know.
