Thanksgiving is such a great holiday- you fix yummy food, eat and hang out.

Playing in jamies-
Hanging out with Grandpa-
All the girls love Aunt Cat's amazing nail salon-

 Hooray for being together!
 The little kids table-
Matt wanted to make the turkey for fun and I think we'd all agree that's it super fun cause it was delicious!

Sorry Truman- even if you don't want your picture taken it still happens :).
And the rolls were that good-

 Cheese!
Lily always has a lot to say-
And the pies!  From family history stories my Great Grandma Matilda Smith was known for her lemon pies.  When she would come to visit she would make a lemon pie.  Lemon pie is one of my favorites and I got to make her recipe.
When asked what his favorite pie was my Grandpa Nelson would always say, "A round one." I agree with that.
JoAnna can you come make this again right now?

Then my sisters & mom are kind of crazy and went shopping right away-  I hate how shopping has crowded into the special, relaxed holiday that Thanksgiving is so just out of principal I slowly enjoyed my pie but then still wanted to hang out so... joined them a little bit later.  I'm sure there's pictures somewhere that I'd be embarrassed about but you'll just have to imagine the good times we had.

The next day we went to the park-

Cutting down our Christmas Tree-
One of my favorite things about being up in the mountains cutting down a tree is how amazing it smells.  The snow wasn't very deep too which made it a lot funner :).
Lucky Isaac!

Don't be tricked by that smile- Patrick is actually kind of a stinker about cutting down a tree-  he likes to wander off and won't answer when you yell his name.  But year after year he doesn't get lost so I guess it's fine :).

Our Awesome Tree!  Matt found this one and it was a really nice one!
Toph may have been a little to proud for this one :).

On our way back we stopped at the river for chili & cinnamon rolls-

Cute Truman- I think he was teaching Isaac about soccer.
Does this make you nervous Emily Ann?
Lucky grandkids!

We also got a Mooches trip in- what a great day!

Lily's Birthday!

Lily turned 1! It was hard to believe that a whole year has already happened.

We had her party later in the week so her actual birthday was a nice relaxing day full of exciting 1 year old stuff like:
Splashing in the tub,
Playing with Isaac,

A visit from Grandpa,
Eating soup like a big kid.

A walk outside.
Getting some good naps,
Playing- discovered the double decker airplane,
 And books with Owen.

Then the weekend after we had a party.  I made a little cake for Lily and she devoured it and loved every bite.

She got the cutest baby doll- notice the matching elbow dimples!

She had a great birthday.  How fast a year goes!  It was so fun to celebrate the spunky, sweetheart she is.  She loves to jabber and even leans in to tell the important parts.  She can say "uh-oh" & "hi." We call her our little goat sometimes because she loves to climb and standing on this chair is her favorite place. Also she is like a little vacuum and picks up and eats any little thing on the floor.  I laughed one day because while changing her diaper I found she'd eaten a crafting googly-eye and Ava had done the same thing when she was a baby!
Lily is a happy girl that brightens everyone's day with her happiness.
We love our Lily Kate.
