Halloween!

A big part of October of course was our Halloween-
We got to enjoy walking to & enjoying the Pumpkin Walk with cousins- it was totally awesome.
Isaac got a little tired though.

Ava got to go the Pumpkin Walk with her class!
Another day at the pumpkin walk we enjoyed the "put your head in the board thingy's"  We didn't see any kids get their head stuck this year so that's good.

A fun barrel train ride- super fun.  We love the Pumpkin Walk.
Watch out for cute little spiders.
We carved pumpkins-

Dressing up for school- Owen was Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes (his favorite book right now- thanks again for introducing it to him Sophie!) and Ava was sleeping beauty.
After school I asked Ava if I could take her picture and she came up with the grand plan of Isaac being the prince that could kiss her.
He is a stinkin cute little prince.
We've been lucky to carpool with cousins this year and it's been a blast.  On Halloween I got to watch their little Halloween parade and pick up that day. Halloween is such a weird day and I a little bit dread it but then it comes and I love it. It's such a fun day for kids.
For trick-or-treating Owen was a ninja.  He thought of the poses for me to take of what ninja's do.  It was awesome.

Ava wanted to be a cat.  Luckily Sarah had this awesome costume she let us borrow and Ava was in heaven.

Isaac got to pick from the costumes we had- either Batman or a lion again.  He picked Batman and I was on the ball getting pictures of him being so cute in his little costume and then it was time to go trick-or treating-

And he wanted to be the lion so he got to be both.  He does have a cute little roar.
And Lily made a cute little ladybug.
Ready to go Trick-or-Treating!
Getting yummy caramel popcorn balls from Aunt Cathy!

Lucky to meet up with cousins at Grandma & Grandpa's.

Sorting candy the next day is as fun as getting it!

October 2013-

In October, I got this coat out from storage and other than the missing pants Isaac looks excited for cold weather.
Lily is a cute eater- she opens her mouth so big.

The first snow!

Poor little Isaac-  we were taking his tubes out in the ENT's office but it turned out a lot more difficult than usual. One tube came out without much trouble but the other tube was hard to grab behind a little rock like thing in his ear. The doctor tried for a long time with Isaac freaking out trying to get the t-tube out with no luck.  So, we had to put drops in his ears for a few days and try again.  It was a miserable experience where 3 people pinned him down again and poked in his ear for what felt like forever but probably was about 30 minutes.  Anyways, he had some Versed medicine so luckily he doesn't remember much and the doctor was able to finally get it out!  But he did walk away with these sad bruises from holding him down for so long while he was fighting.  Poor kid.

Cabin Adventures-
One weekend we got to stay with my brother Toph and his family at Emily Ann's family cabin.  It's way up in the mountains and is a beautiful place.

We went for a fun raft ride and I left our camera on the shore of the pond and the boys had a good time with it :).
Your welcome Truman :).

"Moooo!"

We got to shoot bb guns.

I love this picture-  it looks like Isaac is totally saying "My Uncle Toph is so awesome and I'm hanging out with him right now!"
Beautiful Lorelei!  Thanks again Emily Ann & Toph for the awesome weekend.

I left the kitchen for a minute and came back to Isaac feeding Lily.  They were giggling and having a great time.

Owen loving Calvin & Hobbes.
This is Lily's favorite 'toy' lately and she's actually pretty safe on it.
Matt had a birthday and I made the most amazing pumpkin cake with browned butter in the cake & frosting, with candied pumpkin seeds and crystallized ginger sprinkled on top.
Matt is such a good Dad- I am often amazed at his patience, long-suffering and consistency with me and our kids :). We are lucky to have him.
We went to the park and put Lily in the swing.  I was barely pushing her and she wasn't to impressed.  Ava came over and gave her a lot bigger push and she was loving it!  She's a little thrill seeker like her sister Ava.

Owen started scouts.
And Lily runs to the bathroom any chance she gets.  She likes to get toilet paper and dip it in the water and either put it on her head or in her mouth.  gross.
But somehow she's surviving and hopefully getting a strong immune system.
