Fun Filled Weekend:

Phillips Ogden Day:

It's so fun being together with family. So, on Friday, June 13th, we made plans to do just that. Our fun day started with a picnic lunch at a park.

Patrick & Dallin acting out something- probably something from Mr. Bean.

Pretty Nora on top of the bleachers-

Truman laughing-

Some Frisbee good times-

Then we went to the Treehouse Museum. It was a blast.

Hill Air Force Base Trip:
On Saturday, we took another trip to Ogden to see the Hill Air Force Base Museum. We met Steven, Elizabeth, Henry & George there. They have so many planes there and a fun educational section with stuff for kids to do. It was a fun place for two little boys (and 2 older boys) to explore. Owen had fun getting to know his cousin Henry better.

Owen is definitely a better winker than me.

Pretty Ava on a Sunday afternoon.

Ava eating rice cereal for the first time- Owen was a good helper & Ava liked it.

Ava loves to play with her toes-

Pretty happy about the yummy sweet potatoes.

Brother & Sister. It's fun to watch these two interact and how much they love each other already.

The Day Our 4-Runner Died...

Here are some positive things that happened because of the day our 4-Runner Died.

-We had a fun trip out to see the river
-I got a cute picture of Owen walking on the railroad tracks (who doesn't love railroad pictures)
-I now know better that when your car starts making a clicking sound and you have oil in the back of your car with you, it probably would be a good idea to stop and add some more instead of just hoping the clicking sound will go away. Also need to remember important things like that the oil gage is broken.
-I know prayers are answered and we got home safe even though our car didn't make it back with us.
-I got to test drive new cars for the first time and it was actually kind of fun
-Although we are still dreaming about someday owning the Mazda CX-9, we got to buy a great little Subaru
-I now get to drive a car with better air conditioning
-I now can hear Owen when he talks to me while we're driving because our Subaru is so much quieter.

Anyways, here are some pictures from the day:

Ever since Ava's got her two bottom teeth, she loves to stick her tongue out, especially when she's happy.

Sorry Mom, this isn't the best picture of you, but do notice the final driving spot of our 4-Runner in the background.

Ava at the park.

Random Things

Last weekend, we celebrated our 5 year anniversary. To celebrate we went to Salt Lake and Owen got to have a sleepover at Grandma & Grandpa Phillips' house. He was so excited. He looked cute running over to their house with his backpack all packed up. Owen had a blast. He was sleeping when we got back so we didn't get to see him until the next morning. When I heard him wake up, I went to find him and say good morning. When he saw me he got all sad and said, "no, not you, just Cathrine!"

Ready for a run. I think I'd be better at exercising if I could do it like Owen gets to :).

This is Ava's turtle face, Owen did the same face when he was a baby. I think it might have something do do with teething. Ava got her first teeth this last week.

Thanks for the ride on your sweet purple mo-ped JoAnna.

This is a picture of the awesome bike tralier/stroller that we got. I LOVE it!

Shopping, Park & Ice Cream

I'm excited for some fun park & ice cream trips when everyone will be here.

Good Times...

Coloring with Uncle Dallin Paul.

Last Friday we packed up and headed for Salt Lake. We did a little shopping at Gygi's (a fun kitchen store) and REI, where we got a bike trailer/stroller that I am super excited about. That night we stayed stayed at Toph & Emily Ann's house. It was so fun to hang out and Owen had a blast playing with his cousins in the sandbox, going to the hardware store with his Aunt Emily Ann, eating chocolate chip pancakes, a yummy picnic lunch, working on the awesome treehouse, and just being together.

Wrestling with Uncle Toph

Baby Ava loves her Aunt Emily Ann.

On Saturday afternoon, we got to see Matthew (Matt's nephew) get baptized and enjoy a yummy dinner afterwards. Then we got to hang out with more family and Owen had fun playing with cousins and the many awesome toys at Michael & Pam's house.

Some new pictures of Ava- she is growing up so fast and can hold her head up really well. She is a happy girl.

The other night before bed, Matthew asked Owen to fold his arms for prayers and Owen responded, "no, too busy." So we said prayers anyways and somehow, Owen, thank goodnes, found time in his busy schedule to join us :). Good reminder that I need to make sure I'm not to busy for the important things.
