Summertime is the best.

 Haircut for summer!

On Thursday me and our kids took off for Yellowstone to meet Brian & Lexie & family driving from Wisconsin and our friends the Seedall's that used to live by them.  Poor Matt couldn't miss more work so he stayed behind and did some catch up.  

When we drove into the park Ava said, "This does not look like what I thought, where are all the yellow rocks?" 

 We got to meet cute baby Sully for the first time!

 Owen was excited to take pictures of the animals and did a great job! 

We saw a black mama bear with 2 cubs, another bear, some coyotes, bison & elk. 

We stayed at a pretty campground outside of Yellowstone.

 Mad libs were all the rage! 

 Ava adores these cousins and talks often about when she'll be with them again.

We had so much fun together!!! 

 Yellowstone is such an amazing place! 

June- Family Vacation- Hollywood Sign & Isaac's Birthday

On Saturday we went with our good friends the Budge's and ate at Pink's hot dog stand. While we were eating Isaac decided to walk down a busy street in Los Angeles by himself.  It was so scary but a nice lady saw him and held his hand and then we found him.  

 Then we hiked to the Hollywood sign.  

In La we stopped at a place called Diddy Riese for an ice cream sandwich.  

 Then we came back to the Budge's house and had a pool party!  

 Isaac had a happy birthday! We sure love this boy and the light and happiness he brings and shares with everyone he meets.  

Sunday morning we left early to start the trek home with a stop in St George for church and to see my sister again.  Our family vacation was success!!!

June- Family Vacation- Zoo & Old Town San Diego Dinner

 On Friday we went to the San Diego Zoo!  Isaac's birthday was the next day so it was an early celebration and we had fun!  

 The hippo was amazing!

 The grizzly bears were fighting!

 There was so much to see!  There was even an Owen's Aviary!

We got to see a baby jaguar, baby giraffe & baby gorilla.  On the walk back to our van we asked Isaac out of all the amazing animals we saw what his favorite animal was and he said, "Cow." We were laughing so hard.

Then we went to Old Town San Diego and walked around some little shops 

  We had an amazing dinner that was outdoors with live music and yummy food!  The fried ice cream was delicious.  

From staying up late and partying so hard Lily was a little crazy.  Even though I was bothered I couldn't keep a straight face when I asked her to take her socks off her hands so she could eat... So I gave up and enjoyed my food.
